We stayed with family and loved exploring Blackwood's High Street, filled with great shops and facilities for golf and cycling. The stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons nearby made for breathtaking walks. The hotel grounds were beautiful, providing a lovely backdrop for our stay.

My kids wished there were better soundproofing between rooms.

The room had a comfortable double bed, private bathroom with a shower, heating, and was carpeted. Electric kettle, tea/coffee maker, hairdryer, and towels were provided. The dining experience was impressive. breakfast included fresh baked items. The historical architecture and well-maintained gardens made for a picturesque setting during our stay.

What a fab spot for our anniversary! The picturesque gardens were a delight, and the evening meal was a true treat. Highly recommend the afternoon tea—it was amazing! We also loved the spacious family room with a big bath.

The first room we got wasn’t great. The mattress was uncomfortable and the small space felt cramped. But the second room was a total upgrade—spacious and with a lovely view. We both slept really well!

breakfast was excellent, really big portion with loads of options. The bar staff were super friendly and helped us a lot. our dinner was delicious too, had a home made pie n the soup was yum! loved the atmosphere, very cozy n welcoming.

The location is perfect for outdoor activities like cycling and walking in the breathtaking countryside. Staff were friendly and did their best to accommodate us!

We had an unfortunate experience with a rude man who turned out to be the owner. It was tough to deal with such attitude after a nice day out.

I had a nice night here! The old manor vibe is super cool, and the grounds are kind of beautiful. Breakfast was a highlight—big and tasty! While the room was a bit on the basic side, it didn’t ruin my time. Just wish the decor felt fresher. Would recommend chilling in the lounge area.

I absolutely loved the unique afternoon tea experience, where I could customize my picnic treats—perfect for a sunny afternoon! Plus, the friendly staff ensured every detail was just right, adding warmth to my entire stay.

The gardens here are truly stunning, and I enjoyed sipping tea in the cozy lounge area while taking in the beautiful views. Even though the room was a bit basic and had an old TV, the overall atmosphere made up for it. I recommend checking out the gardens, just watch out for the occasional noisy guest at night! 🌺

The location is picturesque with beautiful countryside views, creating a lovely atmosphere. An executive room surprised us with spaciousness and an excellent double bathroom. we were disturbed by noise early in the morning, which led to a restless stay, alongside breakfast items running out quickly. while the environment is delightful, soundproofing and customer management require attention.
